Welcome to GameTwonk. 

GameTwonk was created by me, Ian Brown, AKA Sub, a long-time PC gaming enthusiast and blogger.

I began GameTwonk because I needed somewhere to publish my pc gaming witterings. I’m passionate about pc gaming and have been since receiving my first Sinclair ZX81 for Christmas a million years ago. Next, the Spectrum 16KB, Sinclair Spectrum + 128KB and then, eventually, Windows.

The thrill of opening up those old ZX81 and Spectrum cassette tapes, with names like Galaxians, 3D Defender and 3D Monster maze remains today. We no longer sit, anxiously listening to the high- pitched shrieks of data stored on audio tape, clumsily pumping into the computer via a tape deck, though. Now, we click a button on the screen and relax while our new games discreetly download from the ether.

As technology advances exponentially, the future of pc gaming is as alluring and exciting as ever.
